Welcome to the Field Notes

Welcome to the Field Notes; a place where curiosity continues beyond the edges of the mouse room.

Here, I’ll share notes from life at Ethereal Moon Mousery: observations from my breeding projects, explorations of mouse genetics and varieties, science-informed husbandry, health research, and the small discoveries that emerge while working closely with mice.

Some entries will be practical. Others will follow wild mice into fields, barns, burrows, and the changing seasons. From time to time, the notes may wander even further into unusual sounds, forgotten places, natural phenomena, and whatever question has caught hold of my curiosity.

There will also be quieter updates from the mouse room: new developments, lessons learned, project progress, and glimpses of lives unfolding beneath an ethereal moon.

Think of this less as formal publication and more as an open field notebook. Still growing, frequently curious, and never entirely sure where the next trail will lead.

Welcome in. There is always something more to notice.
